Browse to your Documents and find the Electronic Arts\Dead Space folder.Ģ. I personally use a DS4 controller with a DS4 windows program to play the game, as i prefer to play DS games with a controller. This seem to happen if you try to play with a controller. However, i still recommend you save regularly to avoid progress loss. This can be greatly reduced by using the 4GB patch on the deadspace.exe: Game had a tendency to crash after playing for an hour, hour and a half or so. Game crashing when playing for some time.

And this allow you to play fullscreen with V-sync off which is much more enjoyable in general. Using a program (I personally used Nvidia Profile Inspector) to cap the FPS to 60 or below seem to make the game run much more smoothly in general and greatly mitigate bugs and physics issues.

Most of the bugs i have seen were caused by the FPS going over 60. The easy way is to turn on V-sync, but this caused the framerate to be at 30 and caused the game to have late responses on controls. Physics issues, game events poorly triggering and syncing, and some issues about invisible wall on chapter 1 and Mercer on CH5.I've been able to solve most of the game poor port problems and i'm just giving some info about this if anyone want to try it.

So i've been replaying Dead Space 1 on PC which is in summary, somewhat unstable compared to the consoles versions (I used to play on PS3 a long time ago).
